Please allow api chat connections to be ignored when logging in to the steam client. The way I see it it is in the best interests of valve, steam, the community and myself if people are constantly online in the steam community, and use it as one of their primary communication systems. I have to go into my chat client and disable steam chat before I can play games. The error said that I was already logged in from another location. ChatSecure, formerly Gibberbot, is a fully featured instant messaging application integrated with Off the Record capabilities. Download Adium Chatsecure - an OTR client for Jabber on Android and iOS. It has support for various IM protocols and comes with OTR by default. Then one day I could not log into steam anymore. Adium is a free and open source instant messaging client for OS X. I added my steam account to the client and it worked perfectly for several months. I want to have all my communication protocols in one program. When the chat api was first released I was very happy, I use a multi-chat client (pidgin). However it is a major problem for me and I would like to request that the change be reverted. Pidgin runs on Windows, Linux, and other UNIX-like operating systems. This means that you can be chatting with friends on XMPP and sitting in an IRC channel at the same time. Yes I know this is on purpose and not a bug. Pidgin is a chat program which lets you log into accounts on multiple chat networks simultaneously.
